Tosca Musk spent her first 8
years in the entertainment industry working for Alliance (later Alliance
Atlantis) Communications Corporation, the largest entertainment production and
distribution company in Canada. During that time, Musk became the director of
development for Sela Ward’s in-house production company, Magnolia Films, and
aided in the development, production and sale of TV movies and mini-series for
network and cable television. Tosca soon took on the position of Los Angeles segment
producer for “TV Guide Television” and later went on to produce and direct her
first feature film, PUZZLED under her own banner, Musk Entertainment. Upon
completion, Tosca co-produced the feature film THE TRUTH ABOUT MIRANDA, and has
since Produced or Line Produced over a dozen features and series, including the
teen thriller CRUEL WORLD for Primetime Pictures and Maverick Films, FREEZERBURN,
9 LIVES OF MARA and EVILUTION.
Musk’s
feature, COUNTRY REMEDY, garnered nine awards, including three “Best Picture”
Awards, the “Audience” Award and the coveted “Spirit” Award from the
International Family Film Festival. Her webseries, TIKI BAR TV, held the
ranking of #1 downloaded video on iTunes for over 3 months when it first
released, and is still considered to be a pioneer of web series.
